These terms cover foals-r-us.com, the Foals R Us client portal at foals-r-us.com/portal/, and payments made to Foals-R-Us, Inc. (“Foals R Us,” “we” or “us”) through them. By using the website or the portal, or by paying us online, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Who we are
Foals R Us Repro Center & Stallion Station is owned and operated by Foals-R-Us, Inc., 15257 US Hwy 377, Whitesboro, TX 76273. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 361, Whitesboro, TX 76273. What we offer
We stand stallions and provide breeding services: breeding contracts, cooled and frozen semen shipments, on-site breeding, mare care and board, embryo transfer and related reproductive services. Stallion fees are listed on each stallion’s page and in the breeding contract. Other fees are listed in the fee schedule of the contract. All prices are in US dollars.
Breeding contracts
Every breeding is covered by a signed breeding contract for that stallion and mare. The contract sets out the fees, when they are due, the live foal guarantee, return privileges and the responsibilities of each party. If anything in these terms conflicts with your signed contract, the contract controls. Contracts can be signed online in the portal, and a signed copy is emailed to you and to the office.
Portal accounts
You must be at least 18 to open a portal account or sign a contract. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is done on your account, including by authorized users you add. Please keep your contact details, mare details and veterinarian details up to date so contracts, shipments and certificates go to the right place. We may suspend an account that is used to misuse the portal or the website.
Payments
We accept credit and debit cards online through Authorize.net. When the office offers it, you can also pay from a US checking or savings account.
Card fee. A card fee of 3.5% of the amount paid is added to card payments. The fee is shown on the payment page before you pay and on your receipt. Bank account payments have no fee.
When fees are due.
- The booking fee and chute fee are due with the signed contract. Your booking is held once they are paid.
- The balance of the stallion fee is due as set out in your contract: when the mare is checked in foal, when she leaves our facility after being inseminated, or before the first cooled semen shipment.
- Collection and shipping fees for each shipment are due before that shipment is sent.
- Board, veterinary and other charges are billed to your account and are due when billed. Statements not paid within 30 days are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month or the most allowed by law.
Receipts. A receipt is emailed for every payment and is kept on the Payments page of the portal.
Payment security. Card and bank account numbers are entered into Authorize.net’s secure payment fields or its own payment page. They go straight to Authorize.net over an encrypted connection and are never stored on our website.
Saved cards and bank accounts
You can choose to save a card or bank account in the portal. When you do, you authorize Foals R Us to charge it for fees due under your breeding contracts, either when you pay online or when the office charges it, with an emailed receipt each time. Authorize.net keeps the account number. You can remove a saved card or bank account at any time on the Account page. Removing it does not cancel amounts you already owe.
Refund and cancellation policy
Booking fee and chute fee. The booking fee and chute fee are non-refundable. You confirm this when you sign the contract.
Stallion fee. The stallion fee is covered by the live foal guarantee in your contract. If the mare does not settle, or the mare is declared in foal and then aborts or the foal is born dead, the contract gives return privileges for the following season instead of a refund. Breeding fees are not refunded except in the cases below.
- If the stallion dies or becomes unfit for service, the contract is void. If the mare is not in foal, the stallion fee you paid, other than the booking fee and chute fee, is refunded.
- If the mare dies or becomes unfit to breed, and you send us a veterinarian’s statement, you may breed a substitute mare approved by us this season or next. We may instead choose to refund the stallion fee you paid, other than the booking fee and chute fee.
Shipments. Once a stallion has been collected for a shipment you asked for, that shipment’s collection and shipping fees are not refunded. If we are unable to send a shipment you have paid for, we refund that shipment’s fees or credit them to your account.
Card fee. When a card payment is refunded, the card fee on the refunded amount is refunded with it.
Cancelling a contract. To cancel a contract, call or email the office with the contract number. The booking fee and chute fee are not refunded. Any other refund is handled under the terms of your contract.
How refunds are paid. Approved refunds go back to the card or bank account used for the payment. A card refund usually shows on your statement within 5 business days, depending on your bank. We email you when a refund is issued.
Questions about a charge. If you think a charge is wrong, please contact the office first at 903-564-3200 or breeding@foals-r-us.com and we will look into it.
Shipping and delivery
Cooled semen. Stallions are collected on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Ask for a shipment in the portal, or call the office at 903-564-3200, by 4 p.m. Central Time the day before the collection day. Shipments go by FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx First Overnight or counter to counter air freight, or can be picked up at our facility. FedEx does not deliver to P.O. boxes, so please give a street address. The chute fee covers the first collections and the first shipment as set out in your contract. Later shipments are charged at the rates in the fee schedule.
Frozen semen. Frozen semen is shipped by FedEx Priority Overnight. The number of doses included is set out in your contract.
Shipments outside the United States. International shipments are arranged with the office under the terms for that country.
Delivery. Delivery times are set by the carrier. We ship semen in viable condition and are not responsible for delays, damage or loss in transit. We do not guarantee the fertility of any stallion. Mares on our premises have breeding priority on any given day, so we cannot guarantee cooled semen will be available on a specific day.
Shipping containers. Shipping containers must be returned to us within 6 days of receipt. Containers returned late are subject to a $50 fee.
Breeder’s Certificates. A Breeder’s Certificate is issued when the stallion report has been filed, all fees and expenses on the contract have been paid, and we have been told a live foal was born.
Equine activities
WARNING: UNDER TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 87, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE), AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES.

Stallion records, pedigrees, prices and other information on the website are for general information and may change. We work to keep them accurate. If a price or detail on the website is wrong, the signed contract and fee schedule apply. All text, photos, logos and videos on the website belong to Foals R Us or are used with permission, and may not be copied without our written permission.
Limits on our liability
The website and portal are provided as they are. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Foals R Us is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using them, and our total liability for any claim about an online payment is limited to the amount you paid us for the service involved. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under your signed contract or under law that cannot be limited.
Other websites
The website links to other websites, such as breed registries and carriers. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in Grayson County, Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Changes do not affect contracts you have already signed.
